Infinite growth is a myth. We chose a finite arc on purpose, inspired by Patagonia's ethos and the phoenix company theory. A brand with an expiry date is a brand that means something.
When the 78th collection ships, Pixiesmith dissolves, or reinvents itself entirely. The archive lives on. The garments live on. The story becomes a monument.
Named for the woman history forgot.
Pamela Coleman Smith, known as Pixie when she was alive, was the artist behind the Rider-Waite tarot deck, one of the most reproduced artworks in history. She was paid a flat fee and never received a royalty. Her name appeared nowhere on the deck for decades.
Pixiesmith is named in her honor. Every collection is built on her visual language, the archetypes she illustrated, the symbols she gave the world without recognition. We are making sure she is not forgotten.
